PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:
The role of Community Impact Manager is to support Butler County United Way’s community work by; providing oversight for the partner agency programs; supporting volunteers and other community partners engaged in our work; developing relationships within Butler County; and supporting community impact in community initiatives.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Community Relations 50%
Provides relationship management to agency partners and stewardship of invested dollars. Provides review of programs results and performance –coordinates agency site visits as appropriate; coordinates a volunteer committee to carry out the oversight of program investments related to the Community Impact Model; effectively communicates to develop, grow, and sustain productive relationships; successfully articulates the organization’s mission, vision, and values to stakeholders and collaborators. Provides support for agency partner campaigns.
Collaboration 30%
Leads and/or supports various community collaborations and projects that advance the priorities through the Community Impact Model; work collaboratively with agency and community partners to achieve community progress in the areas of Education, Financial Stability, and Health.
Strategy and Planning 20%
Creates and manages strategic partnerships to maintain positive, mutually beneficial relationships with nonprofits and community stakeholders; uses knowledge and expertise about community needs and stakeholders to identify, recruit, engage, and convene partners to advance a common agenda focused on Education, Financial Stability, and Health.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Community Planning or related field preferred. Four years work experience in community organizations, community planning, or related human service field is desirable. Computer, public speaking, interpersonal, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and organizational ability required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, and temperature. Ability to work with various communities with diverse populations, including community groups, businesspersons, professional staff, and volunteers. Occasional local travel to events within the regional area. Valid driver’s license required and the ability to lift 25 lbs. required.
Sheila, a 44-year-old single mother of four, is no stranger to navigating adversity. Ten years ago, after going into labor early with her twin boys, she had to learn to navigate things a little differently than before. After giving birth to her sons, Sheila was rushed into brain surgery due to fluid on her brain pushing on her optic nerve.
About 7 years ago, Tonya made the brave decision to leave a domestic violence situation for the sake of her and her daughter. Leaving the situation was a courageous choice, but Tonya went a step further and left her home and community for her and her daughter’s safety.
Sherry was at the end of her rope after years of trying to combat the problem behavior of her school aged son. Her therapist recommended trying a parenting course offered through Butler County United Way’s Parent Project....
E.J. first entered the foster care system 5 years ago at 10 years old, and the uncertainty of his circumstances weighed heavily on him. Not having a stable support system and family in his life during such a formative time left him feeling vulnerable and scared.
