The Community Impact Award process is an open, transparent, and competitive process that allows eligible programs to apply for funding. The objective is to identify the programs that can best contribute to achieving the long term goals identified by the community - youth becoming successful adults, adults being self-sufficient, and the health and well-being of all residents. To change lives in Butler County forever, Butler County United Way invests donors' gifts in the highest quality programs that make measurable progress to these community- identified outcomes:
In keeping with the vision of United Way Worldwide, Butler County United Way also focuses on the health of youth and adults in our community as health- physical and mental well-being - is an essential element in our focus on youth becoming successful adults and on adults becoming self-sufficient. While not an independent area of funding, elements of services focusing on health and well-being are included in many Butler County United Way programs and are tracked as part of our reports to the community.
Butler County United Way welcomes proposals from 501C(3) organizations that are based in the County or provide extensive services in the BCUW service territory which covers all of Butler County except for Oxford, Trenton, Monroe, and Middletown.
Informal information sessions will be held on February 7, 2014, at Butler County United Way. At 8:30 am, the discussion will be focused on Youth programs and at 1 pm the focus will be on Self-Sufficiency and Basic Services. However, please feel free to attend whichever session is most convenient for you.
Each session can include up to 15 participants. Attending one of the two sessions is not required but will serve as a time to ask any questions you may have after reviewing the RFP. In order to attend either the morning or afternoon session, please call BCUW (513-863-0800.) Should all the available seating be used at both sessions, another will be scheduled for early the following week.
The final award decisions will be announced in early May, no later than May 16. Award recipients will be notified first by email and then will be invited to sign a service award agreement. Programs not selected for awards will be notified also by email. All programs will be offered the opportunity to meet with BCUW staff and Action Council members to discuss the results of the process.
