Day of Action 2026

2026 Day of Action- Community Baby Shower Care Packages

Building Block Events are our way of joining together with our neighbors throughout Butler County to give back in a way that will build a solid foundation for the future. Each 'Building Block Event' is tailored to one of the building blocks for a good life: Youth Opportunity, Healthy Community, and Financial Security.

Our 'Day of Action- Community Baby Shower Care Packages' event will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, and will focus on creating Baby Shower care packages to be donated to the Sojourner Perinatal Program. The Sojourner Perinatal Program supports pregnant and postpartum women struggling with substance misuse by providing education, healthcare referrals, and individualized services in a variety of community settings. Clients receive tailored support based on their needs, with services continuing through pregnancy and up to 12 months postpartum. The MAMA’s program offers recovery housing and ongoing support, but due to limited resources, it often relies on community donations to help provide essential items for mothers and their infants.

We are looking for the following donations to be graciously provided for the care packages:

  • Diapers (1,2,3)
  • Baby Wipes
  • Bibs
  • Burp Cloths
  • Baby Detergent
  • Baby Tubs
  • Baby Wash Cloths
  • Baby Towels
  •  Onesies (Short and Long Sleeve)
  • Baby Socks
  • Sleepers
  • Sleep Sacks
  • Toys
  • Baby Nail Clippers
  • Baby Shampoo
  • Baby Bodywash
  • Baby Lotion

We invite you to join us in assembling these care packages.

Event will be held
Wednesday, June 24 from
4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at:

Butler County United Way
